Hakomi on the Water – An Adventure for Couples

Leave the ordinary world behind and join us for an adventure on the water – an adventure with soul – a chance to deepen relationship with yourself, relationship with a loved one, and relationship with the planet.  Aboard Seabear in a wilderness setting, using a gentle method of self study called Hakomi, we invite you to explore the inner world of relationship as well as the natural world of the magnificent British Columbia coastline and the creatures that inhabit it.

Your trip will be tailored to suit your needs.  Once you book your dates and location, you will make arrangements to meet the boat at a designated location by using a variety of transportation options – sea plane, BC Ferries, water taxi or car.  Once you are aboard with your gear stowed, Captain Jeff will leave the dock and begin to weave a journey through the magic of islands and waterways of the coast, dropping the hook in sheltered bays.  Depending on wind, weather and location, Seabear and her crew will introduce you to the delightful adventures of cruising the BC coast.

Seabear is a 2005 Nordic Tug built in Washington using a traditional west coast pilothouse design with deluxe accommodations for four.  She is designed as a refined coastal cruiser with state-of-the-art safety and navigation equipment.  Seabear carries an 11 ½ ft. inflatable dinghy and two kayaks.

Price:  $700 per day per couple, excluding transportation to the location of Seabear.

Testimonial

What Jeff and Georgia offer is not like any other kind of counseling, but a holistic experience that includes inner and outer adventures on their boat, where healing is assisted by the spaciousness and beauty of the ocean, air, rocks, and mountains. As they navigate waters and islets of our beautiful coast, Jeff and Georgia take great joy in sharing the beauty of the coast they know so intimately. With their gentle, loving Hakomi presence, they attune to the rhythms of the outside and inside with consummate skill and delicacy; there seems to be world enough and time to also explore the inner passages and inlets and eddies of relationship. They help you notice what is there in front of you, around you, and underneath, whether it is the tiny, translucent nematodes under the water, or long-held habits of relating to self and others.

In this open place, removed from the daily frame of reference, under Jeff and Georgia’s wise and deeply compassionate guidance, perspectives can shift.

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Jeff and Georgia in this healing space that includes reflection, connection, and integration.
